T-birds to gather in Berlin for Reunion & Global Business Dialogue

Hundreds of T-birds will gather in Berlin May 24-27 to reunite with friends, learn from today's top global leaders and explore the fascinating history of Germany's capital.

"If you were unable to attend the recent 11-11-11 Homecoming weekend in Glendale, the upcoming European Reunion in Berlin will certainly please," said Karen Longo '88 President of the Thunderbird Alumni Network Board (TANB). "The lively city of Berlin is a wonderful backdrop for Thunderbird alumni to gather. An amazing lineup of speakers and cultural events make this a reunion not to miss."

Last year's European Reunion was held in Bad Ischl, Austria and drew nearly 300 alumni and their guests for a business forum and social activities. This year's reunion includes the first regional Global Business Dialogue - a dynamic one-day panel discussion with top global leaders addressing the topic "Beyond Uncertain Times: A Growth Agenda."

The Berlin events will kick off with a casual welcome mixer at the high-tech Sony Center on Thursday evening and will continue on Friday with the Global Business Dialogue held at the Axica Conference Center - a contemporary facility designed by the world renowned architect Frank Gehry. During the Dialogue, attendees will participate in dynamic discussions with more than 20 panelists such as Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger, Chairman of the Executive Board for ThyssenKrupp AG; Jorge Benitez, CEO of Accenture; and Beatrice Guillaume-Grabisch CEO of Coca Cola Germany.

"Having organized Thunderbird events in Vietnam, and attended them in Zurich and Phoenix, I know Berlin will be another truly amazing event for Thunderbird alumni to meet global leaders, discuss current economic topics, assess the dire European situation and network with professionals in their interested area, said Loan Ma '10. "The Berlin conference is a must- go event for global alumni."

Following the conference and Gala Dinner on Friday evening at the German Historical Museum, alumni will spend Saturday exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of historic Berlin. Afterward, the group can enjoy music, local food and high quality beer with a chance to reconnect with old friends and discover new ones. The final activity is a Farewell Brunch on Sunday.

"Book your tickets early," said Joy Lubeck '86. "This should be an incredible and unforgettable event."

Space is limited for this event and only those alumni who have registered will be permitted to attend. To guarantee your space, register early at
